Alright. The book is just....amazing. The book and the parts of the film I"ve seen (I"ve yet to see the whole thing) have brought out such emotion in me that nothing else ever has. I couldn't read the book in one sitting, it just ruined my mood whenever I read it for a long period of time. Ruined it because it was so devastating and honest and quite truthfully, I couldn't handle it all in one sitting. Unfortunately, I had started reading it during the week I was prepping for finals. (damn you selby!) When I read the intro from Aronofsky ( I'm sure it was Aronofsky ), and he said how his friend borrowed the book and said it ruined his vacation, I just shrugged it off. But it was so true. It was...amazing. I laughed, I cried. I cried more then I laughed. Did you others get the same reaction? From you're posts, I"m getting the feeling you got a similar reaction?

Yeah, I still have to read it, just flipped through it, because it isn't mine and they didn't have the book anymore in the shop. I scanned the end though and it's just so hard... I always wish I could help the characters or that they could help themselves when I watched the movie or read it.

Did you know that Selby died? I think it was last year and I was pretty shocked... just because he's dead, you know. He wasn't my favorite author or something, to tell the truth, his appearance was quite frightening in the movie... but well.

Dude. I had NO idea that Selby died. Wow. That's a big shocker to me. Hm. Well he was in his late 70's.
